What to do in Atlanta in August Part 2

Week two of August brings part two of my series on what to do in Atlanta to savor the sweetest days of summer. Luxury Picnic Experience

Part two is all about relaxing in luxury with a curated picnic experience! I worked with Hannah Joy of Picnic Joy Co. to make the most delightful sunset picnic, and I got to support another woman owned business here in Atlanta in the process! Hannah Joy’s picnics are what summertime dreams are made of and the ultimate Sunday brunch or August date night activity.

Picnic Joy offers three different picnic packages to cover all of your luxurious needs, and best of all, these picnics are set up for you in your choice of location. You can choose to have yours in your backyard or in your favorite public park, and Picnic Joy will cover the setup.  

Each two hour picnic includes set up and tear down, table layout including flatware, glassware, and linens, luxurious blankets and cushions. This layout is truly magical and feels like a decadent escape, even if you are in your own backyard. The table is laid out on a vintage blanket and dressed with a beautiful table runner and greenery along with delicate frilly placemats topped with adorable dinnerware and festive cocktail napkins. Velvet, lace, and linen cushions for reclining are the perfect finishing touches to add a luxuriant texture to the setting. 

Make sure to save your appetite, because Picnic Joy’s setup also includes some indulgent treats for you and your guests! I can tell you first hand that you will not be disappointed in the food spread at your luxury picnic! Each special treat is also sourced from another local Atlanta woman owned business, so you can feel amazing about who you are supporting!  With your picnic, you’ll receive a decadent charcuterie board featuring a variety of cured meats, cheeses, nuts, dried fruits, and crackers.

You will also get  ½ dozen dipped strawberries by Fresa Couture which were the highlight of my own picnic.

Finally,  ½ dozen gorgeous cookies by Emily’s Cookieverse are also included! And, If that doesn’t sound like enough grub, you can upgrade your package to include even more delicious treats!

In addition to your tablescape and food, Picnic Joy also supplies a selfie stand, hand sanitizer, and trash can. Everything you need is covered, but there are even more options that can be added on! Upgrades include options like Bluetooth speaker, party balloons, romantic board games, roses, champagne and wine, mimosa bar, paint-by-number kits, a lace teepee and add-ons for your pup (like treats and a water bowl!). 

I totally adored working with Hannah Joy, and my picnic was even more relaxing and fun than I had imagined. This is a great way to spend quality time with your partner or friends outdoors. With all of the included amenities and add-on options offered by Picnic Joy, you will find yourself in a mini paradise! This may be the perfect way to spend a late summer evening in Atlanta!
