What a year 2021 has turned out to be! I’m so grateful to have had you here with me through it all! I love this time of year when the world seems to be full of new possibilities, but I also love looking back and seeing all that has been accomplished. It’s been a big year for us at Devi & Co., so here is our highlight reel for 2021!
This year, I was finally able to go all in on my dream of making Devi & Co. a success by shifting it from a “side hustle” to my full-time job. I knew this would either make it or break it, and here we are, ending 2021 with over 200% growth! I am over the moon with the love and support that you have given to me over the past year! Devi & Co. is making your tropical dreams come true, and you are making my business dreams come true.
2021 saw us traveling all around Florida to photograph our resort-ready flower jewelry in our favorite locations! We shot at the Don Cesar in St. Pete Beach and then kept it moving southward to shoot in Ft. Lauderdale on the Atlantic and Venice Beach on the Gulf. We even hit Englewood Beach and Ormond-by-the Sea to capture images for our stunning Bali collection!
We also set up shop for you guys more than any other year! We exhibited at six Artisan Markets all across Georgia. We ventured out to St. Simons Island twice for Arts in the Park where we met many of you! We also participated in Indie South’s Holiday Hooray in Athens, GA. We kept it local with shows in Marietta and at Ponce City Market! We’re so grateful to have met so many amazing people out in the community this year!
We released our very first themed collection with the launch of our Bali Collection. So many hours of thought and love went into each and every piece because I wanted it to represent what Bali means to me as a place of stunning natural and cultural beauty. This collection came straight from my heart, and I’m so glad that you have loved it as much as I have!
My biggest highlight of the year has, undoubtedly, been working with all of the amazing ladies who have helped give Devi & Co. life, especially Brandi Inman of Barefeet Imagery and Laryssa Wirstiuk of Joy Joya! My photographer, Brandi, is truly a Godsend both for her friendship and her skills! The tropical dream world of Devi & Co. is only alive because of her stunning images. She—along with a few key models (I’m looking at you, Jen Robinson)—has helped me express my vision of paradise so perfectly. So many thanks to my marketing advisor, Laryssa, who pushed me to make a plan and stick to it! Without her guidance, would I even be writing this blog post? Nope! And I know this year wouldn’t have been half as fruitful if not for Laryssa’s patient guidance.
So what does 2022 hold?
As both the designer and maker behind Devi & Co. it’s important for me to keep growing and refining my skills so that I can bring my ideas to life. In 2022, I’ll be making an exciting leap! I will be taking silversmithing classes at a local arts center this year so I can learn more about setting gemstones and making rings, along with many other interesting skills.
We already have two events in the books! Catch us at Brookhaven’s Cherry Blossom Festival this March and Dunwoody Art Festival for Mother’s Day! If you want us to come to your favorite Artisan Market, leave us a comment and let us know!
2022 will also bring at least two more top secret themed collections that will be photographed in your favorite tropical destinations.
